San Juanillo, is a hidden jewel located on the Northern Pacific Coast of Guanacaste. Often referred to as THE GOLD COAST . Unlike its more populated neighbors, San Juanillo is a peaceful village. The surrounding area consists mostly of soft rolling hills, with streams and rivers and an abundance of natural wonders to explore - including exotic birds and butterflies, Howler Monkeys, white tailed deer, Pizotes, even an occasional miniature panther or other wild small cat, and much more.

You will find 7 fabulous beaches to explore, with the protected bay to the west of the village a must for snorkeling and scuba enthusiasts. The shell collector will find this beach paradise as well. A sport fishing boat or horseback riding along the beaches can easily be arranged. Daily, you will experience breathtaking sunsets in this unspoiled environment.

Only 3 miles to the south, a well known Turtle refuge is located on Ostional Beach. You will also find world famous surf at Ostional as well as excellent and consistent surf just a few minutes further at Pelada Beach and Guiones Beach in Nosara. Just to the North, Marbella also offers a surfing challenge. There are at least 5 new restaurants close by and San Juanillo has its own growing mini-market. With Santa Cruz to the North and Nosara to the South, any and all necessities and or desired amenities are always close at hand.
